Bruce Carleton is a retired Portland FF/Paramedic with 34 years of service. Additionally Bruce was a member of the Portland Police Department's Special Reaction Team for over 20 years. Bruce has been a martial artist since he was 10 years old, training in various martial arts for the last 47 years. He has studied Korean, Indonesian, Fillipino, Chinese, Thai and Brazilian martial arts. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu blackbelt under Alexey Cruz. His martial arts and medical background brought him to teach for 28 years at the prestigious Executive Security International school in Colorado. There he taught tactical medicine and close quarter combatives to executive protection trainees and PSD team trainees. Coach Bruce's teaching methods are dynamic, realistic, challenging and practical.
